Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 July 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of https://vetpricelist.co.uk (the "Service"), operated by VetPricelist ("we", "us", "our"). By browsing the Service, submitting a price, signing up for price alerts, or creating a practice account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. See also our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

2. What VetPricelist is

VetPricelist is an independent price comparison directory for UK veterinary practices. We aggregate publicly available pricing information, prices published directly by practices, and prices submitted by pet owners, and display it so visitors can compare costs. We are not a veterinary practice, we do not provide veterinary advice, and we are not a party to any booking, consultation, or transaction between you and a vet practice.

3. Price accuracy and liability disclaimer

We label every price with a confidence level (RCVS verified, published by practice, user reported, or may be outdated) — see our Methodology page for what each label means. Even verified prices can change without notice, and practices are not obliged to honour a price shown on our site.

You must always confirm the final price directly with the practice before booking or accepting treatment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss arising from reliance on pricing, ownership, or other information displayed on the Service, including inaccurate, outdated, or user-submitted data. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded under English law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

4. Price submissions and user content

If you submit a price, correction, or other content to us, you confirm it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to publish, reproduce, and adapt it as part of the Service. We review submissions before publishing but do not independently verify every one, and we may edit, decline, or remove any submission at our discretion — including in response to a correction request via Submit a price.

5. Practice accounts and listings

Vet practices may claim a free listing or subscribe to a paid plan. By creating a practice account you confirm that you are authorised to represent the practice named, and that the practice name, RCVS number, and contact details you provide are accurate. We may verify, suspend, or remove a listing or account if we reasonably believe it is fraudulent, unauthorised, or in breach of these terms.

6. Subscription plans and billing

We offer a free listing tier and two paid subscription tiers for vet practices — Standard (featured placement) and Premium (top placement, verified badge, and analytics) — billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Current pricing is shown on our For Vets page. We may change subscription pricing or plan features from time to time; where a change affects an active subscription, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email before it takes effect. Payment details are processed and stored by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect immediately: your Stripe subscription is cancelled, and your listing is downgraded to the free tier straight away rather than continuing at the paid tier until the end of the current billing period. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

8. Refunds

Because cancellation is immediate and self-service, we do not offer refunds or credits for the unused portion of a billing period. If you believe you were charged in error — for example a duplicate charge or a charge after you had already cancelled — contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate and refund any billing error at our discretion. This section does not affect any statutory right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Charitable giving pledge

We publish a pledge to donate 25% of net profit each quarter to UK animal welfare charities, and log donations on our Giving page. This is a voluntary corporate commitment we hold ourselves to publicly — it is not a contractual term between us and any individual user, and does not entitle any user to a donation, refund, or other remedy tied to the pledge.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent price or practice information
  • Scrape, systematically extract, or republish our data without permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another user's account
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including via automated traffic
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

11. Intellectual property

The VetPricelist name, logo, and site design are our property. Aggregated pricing data, methodology labels, and site content are provided for personal, non-commercial use unless you have our written permission or use our Press & data embed tools. Practice names, logos, and RCVS registration details remain the property of the respective practice.

12. Third-party services

We rely on third-party providers to operate the Service, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (accounts and database), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of features that rely on these providers is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any price, ownership, or other data will be accurate or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and conditions.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including loss of profit or loss arising from a vet practice's failure to honour a displayed price. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms. You may stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time by contacting [email protected].

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available in your country of residence.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes affecting active practice subscriptions will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
