About us

Transparent vet prices for every UK pet owner

VetPricelist is a free, independent price comparison service that collects and publishes vet prices from across the UK — so you can make an informed choice about your pet's care.

Our mission

Vet prices in the UK vary enormously — a cat neuter can cost anywhere from £80 to over £350 depending on where you live and who owns your local practice. Yet until recently there was no easy way to compare prices.

VetPricelist exists to fix that. We aggregate publicly available price information and, as the CMA's reforms roll out, CMA-mandated price disclosures, so every pet owner can compare in one place — for free, forever.

Independent & free

We are not owned by any vet group. We accept no advertising from practices. Every listing is treated equally — featured placements are clearly labelled.

The CMA ruling that changes everything

In March 2026, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) published the final report of its Veterinary Market Investigation. Its Order — due to be made by September 2026 — requires all UK vet practices to publish standard price lists for 36 procedures, with that requirement phased in through 2027. It is the most significant consumer-protection change in the veterinary sector in decades.

The 36 mandated procedures include consultations, neutering, vaccinations, dentistry, diagnostics, end-of-life care and more — covering the treatments most pet owners need.

VetPricelist is built to be the destination where pet owners can see all those prices in one place, compare them by postcode, and make a confident choice.

How VetPricelist works

1

We collect prices

Our team and automated systems gather prices directly from vet practice websites and, as it goes live through 2026–2027, the RCVS-verified price feed.

2

You search by postcode

Enter your postcode and the procedure you need. We show every practice within your chosen radius, sorted by price.

3

You compare and choose

See prices, distances, and whether a practice is independent or part of a corporate group — then contact the vet directly to book.

25% of net profit to animal welfare

We believe profit and purpose can coexist. Every quarter, we donate 25% of VetPricelist's net profit equally between four UK animal welfare charities: Cats Protection, Dogs Trust, PDSA, and the Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund.

Every donation is logged publicly on our giving page. As the CMA's reforms drive more practices to publish prices and more pet owners to compare, this counter will grow with it.
